the H family

It’s always a bit of an adventure meeting one of my families for the first time…

With the H family it was like hanging out with old friends…even though we’d never met before our first session together. Thank you for being so warm, welcoming and easy-going! What a breeze. A very much appreciated breath of fresh air! Sessions like this one just really make me so happy. So very happy to be able to call this my “work”…I really am enjoying every minute of it…especially when its with a wonderful family like this one.

Enjoy your sneak peak H family!

Connor & Lucy

We had a beautiful morning for Connor & Lucy’s holiday session today. Even got to play with some of the very last leaves still on the ground…Connor had lots of fun throwing them around. This was really miss Lucy’s first chance to be in the spotlight…and she was smiling from the get go for me… I think mommy and daddy will have a very hard time picking out a Christmas card this year with all these great shots. Not a bad problem to have 😉

Enjoy! Thanks as always for a wonderful visit 🙂

Love looking back at past sessions with my little loves… Here’s one from Connor’s Holiday portrait from last year…

and here’s one from this year…same spot…same Santa…same sweet boy!

C, B, G and mama

We have been trying to do this session for about 2 years now… so so soooooo happy we finally did!

Take three gorgeous, delightful and enthusiastic kids, add in a gorgeously lit (though reallllly chilly) autumn afternoon…. and this is what you get! Most of my shoots lately have been babies and toddlers…all on the go and challenging to keep up with at times (love it as I do…it is a challenge!). This was such an easy shoot! I couldn’t believe how quickly and easily we were able to get so many great shots!

And this is only a small sampling of the many shots we were able to do. Can’t wait for you guys to see the rest!

High Five!

I mean really. Would you look at this little guy? Ridiculously cute. To the point that it was hard to concentrate! What a doll.
We had a fantastic session at Fort Adams in Newport on a dream of a day. Every time this little guy smiled for the camera he would run full speed at me directly afterwards shouting ‘High five!’ ( I started the game… he LOVED it.) Oh he was too cute. What a perfect spot Fort Adams was… hats off to you mama for picking the place! It was one of those places that had countless gorgeous scenes for a portrait session. Such a great choice for a family portrait.

Enjoy I family… I thoroughly enjoyed every ‘high five’!

Gia 9 months

I love these girls.

We realized at this, our 10th session together I think… that my very first session was with their beautiful family. It was just over three years ago with Gia’s big sister Ella.  In these pictures she’s just about 3 1/2 years old…at our first session she was 3 months! Mama said “I can’t imagine anyone else doing their portrait…” What a wonderful compliment… and I feel so blessed to be doing them!

We met at the Farmer’s Daughter in South Kingstown on a ridiculously gorgeous autumn afternoon… and I can’t stop talking about how incredible that place is! I may have found my new favorite session spot!

Just love these two fancy gourds.

Sessions like these make me so happy to be able to do this for my “work”… and leave me smiling all the way home. I love that feeling!

Thanks P girls!
